# MOX

> MOX is a Hyperliquid-style perpetual futures exchange for collectibles — Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, One Piece TCG, Counter-Strike 2 skins, and index baskets such as a CS2 knife basket. Traders go long or short with leverage on test USD (every account starts with $1,000). Prices come from an oracle that screens every source print for manipulation before it can move a market.

MOX is a demo: all money is test USD and markets include simulated liquidity.

## Conventions

- Collateral is **test USD** (demo money). Every account starts with $1,000; nothing here is real money.
- Prices and sizes are decimal **strings** on the API. Sizes are in units of the item (1 = one card, one skin or one index basket); positions are signed (+ long, − short).
- Funding rates are **per hour** as fractions ("0.0000125" = 0.00125%/h). Times are unix milliseconds.
- The mark price follows the book but is anchored to the **oracle**; every oracle price comes from source markets screened for manipulation and is slew-limited.
- Markets include **simulated liquidity**: market makers and sim traders are flagged `sim` / `buyer_sim` / `seller_sim`.

## Oracle methodology

1. **Sources.** Each market lists its sources (TCGplayer market prices and sales via TCGCSV, Scryfall, PokémonTCG, JustTCG for trading cards; Skinport, Steam Market and CSFloat for CS2 skins). Index markets price every constituent and sum the basket.
2. **Screen.** Every observation (a sale, an aggregate market price or a listing) gets a manipulation score from 0 to 1 by the statistical screen (`stat-v1`: distance from the recent median in MAD units, distance from the oracle and from other sources, same-direction bursts and walk-ups). Score < 0.35 → **accepted** at full weight; 0.35–0.70 → **downweighted** (weight × (1 − score)); > 0.70 → **rejected**. An optional model judge can only raise a score, never lower it.
3. **Aggregate.** The target is a recency-weighted median of accepted and downweighted prints (half-life 24 h for trading cards, 2 h for CS2), with no single sale allowed more than 12% of the total weight. Aggregates count as several sales.
4. **Publish.** The published price moves toward the target at most **6 bps/min** for trading cards and **15 bps/min** for CS2, so one forced print can only nudge it. Status is `live`, `stale` (no accepted print within 48 h for cards, 45 min for CS2: opening orders are paused) or `seed` (no live source has reported yet).

## Trading rules

- Order types: market (fills against the book within a slippage bound, default 5% from mark) and limit (rejected if more than 15% from the oracle). Options: reduce-only, post-only.
- Cross margin. Initial margin = notional / leverage; maintenance margin = notional / (2 × max leverage). Liquidation when account value falls below maintenance margin.
- Funding is paid hourly between longs and shorts.
- Rejection codes: insufficient_margin, price_band, oi_cap, min_notional, reduce_only, post_only_would_cross, no_liquidity, oracle_stale, invalid.
